End of year activities of BLAS in Africa volunteers

June, the 23^rd 2018, at 8 o’clock: BLAS in Africa volunteers were gathered at Cité Verte for going to the Mount of Beatitude for a hike and a picnic. All of the volunteers were invited to intend this day, led by the General Secretary of BLAS of Africa, for closing the annual volunteers’ activities schedule. Some students of the Doposcuola night classes program and beneficiaries of the BLAS in Africa activities joined the team to enjoy together.

The day began with a trek outdoor, through farms and a forest. Next, the crew climbed the Mount of Beatitude and reached the top at 105m of altitude. Many other activities, as society games in little groups and talks around a fire in which some corn was roasted, were organized.

The greatest moments happen during the meal, when everybody was sharing funny stories and jokes with each other, reminding great moments of year, playing and laughing in a family atmosphere. This experience reveals the community spirit that inspires all initiatives of the association and the volunteering program.

All along the day, we made photos of the place and the activities. By the end, we prayed to get more devoted and involved volunteers next year.
